Abstract
The potential effects of functional neuromuscular stimulation of several shoulder muscles on the stability of the glenohumeral joint were evaluated in simulation. The results indicate that such stability should be considered when devising neuroprostheses for restoring shoulder function in individuals with cervical spinal cord injuries
