  • Abstract
    In this paper based on the assumption of the isotropic elastic soil, Modified Winkler Foundation Model is established and a equivalent stiffness equation which considering the shear function of soil is derivated. The modified Winkler foundation model is compared with three other equivalent spring stiffness to study the sensitivity of the parameters. Pile-Soil interaction of FEA models are studied and compared with the modified Winkler foundation model. It is found that the modified Winkler foundation model is valid for practical engineering.
