Abstract
Summary form only received as follows: The 2D and 3D dose mapping related to proton beam under the real conditions of radiotherapy treatment for ocular tumours obtained using GafChromic(tm) MD-55 film are presented. Standard microdensitometric measurements were used to determine the film optical density (OD) variation vs dose. A second order polynomial fit is used to obtain calibration curve from experimental values, so it is possible to determine OD conversion to dose. Using phantom composed of layers of GafChromic(tm) film the authors obtain the dose distribution delivered by proton beam with high surface spatial resolution. The complete 3D mapping of the dose delivered to a volume subjected to irradiation, as in a course of radiotherapy treatment, is obtained through different sections of the phantom
