Abstract :
According to the hardware configuration used for HVDC control system and operation mechanism of MACH2 (modular advanced control for HVDC) from ABB company, realization principle and method for off-line time simulation to get the same effect compared with the real time operation is presented here. The validity is applied here by comparing the offline time simulation results with actual ones. The method combined PSCAD and Hidraw is presented here to simulate all the HVDC control function. The fault of single-phase AC voltage to ground is applied. The obtained results show that the simulation results can agree well with real time simulation ones and optimum design of HVDC with high efficiency can be realized using presented method in commercial common software environment.
