Abstract
ACCEPT is the project name of a European consortium which coordinates and executes the international and interoperability aspects of three national Radio Data System - Traffic Message Channel (RDS-TMC) pilots: Rhine corridor (the Dutch pilot project), BEVEI (the German pilot) and CITIES (the French pilot). The objectives of the project are reviewed. The various systems needed for bringing the TMC service in the air are outlined. Emphasis is placed on the TMC-receiver and its functionality.
