Abstract

TravTek is the operational field test of an advanced driver information and traffic management system. The evaluation of TravTek is being performed through the execution of twelve integrated studies within six study areas. Most of the evaluation data were obtained during the operation of 100 specially instrumented TravTek cars in Orlando, Florida. The TravTek system is briefly described, and the status of the evaluation studies is reviewed. Seven of the studies, where volunteer drivers were employed, are covered in greater detail with associated recruitment statistics and survey response rates.
