Abstract
The TravTek Operational Field Test was conducted in Orlando, Florida to demonstrate an advanced traveler information and traffic management system (ATMS/ATIS) system implementation. Extensive data were collected for a comprehensive evaluation study to measure the effectiveness of TravTek. The TravTek System Architecture Evaluation is one of several tasks in the overall evaluation study. It has the objectives of analyzing the hardware, software and database triad as a system; verifying system accuracy; establishing reliability; assessing system design alternatives; and examining system staffing and operation requirements. The authors discuss the availability of the data, detail the procedures for reduction of traffic information and reliability data, and offer preliminary analyses.
