Abstract
A new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) capacity expansion method with periodically frame suppression control is proposed. The proposed method expands a VoIP capacity of an AP (Access Point), which is the maximum number of associated stations without critical QoS (Quality of Service) degradations. Simulation results show the proposed method with 0.5% frame suppression control on each station expands a VoIP capacity by 4% compared to a legacy method while satisfying required QoS for all stations.
