Abstract :
An electrical equivalent circuit model for piezoelectric transducers, incorporating mechanical and dielectric losses of polymeric and composite sensor materials has been used to analyze the performance of broadband ultrasonic transducers in the time and frequency domains. The model provides a close agreement between the simulated and experimentally observed dynamic responses of the piezoelectric transducers which were designed and fabricated with composite sensor materials and epoxy-tungsten composite as a backing material
