Abstract :
The authors describe a multipoint document-oriented teleconferencing system, which is called the audio document teleconferencing system (ADCS). The multipoint communication node is composed of a graphic signal distribution module (GDCM) and an audio signal distribution module (ADCM). The system is based on a token ring network, and the token contention control and related protocols are discussed in detail. Fault recovery control and exclusion of defective terminals are outlined
