Abstract
In this paper, the security requirements of data communication in wind power farm are analyzed firstly. Then according to IEC62351-3, TLS (transport layer security) is used to protect against threats and attacks, such as eavesdropping, man-in-the-middle security risk, spoofing, and replay, to realize availability, integrity, authentication and confidentiality of data communication. Furthermore, signature function increased on the basis of original TLS is presented to digitally sign the messages to realize non-repudiation. Finally, implementation of improved TLS protocol utilizing OpenSSL 0.9.8e developing kits is presented, and a model of agent mechanism based on improved TLS is structured to strengthen the security of data communication in wind power farm.
