  • Abstract
    The importance of using a 3D model in magnetron simulation has been demonstrated using the example of an L-band, high-power magnetron simulated using the SOS/MAGIC3D program. The proper way of applying the DC voltage and the importance of end hats has been emphasised. Also the important V-I transient characteristic of the magnetron can only be obtained using a 3D model
