Abstract :
The author presents two parallel algorithms for the eigenvalue assignment problem along with details of implementations of these algorithms both on shared-memory and on distributed-memory parallel computers. A brief mention is also made of a parallel algorithm for the multi-input observer matrix equation. Some actual computational speed-up results of these algorithms on Alliant FX/8 and CRAY Y-MP are reported
