Abstract :
A novel pulse design based on the modified Hermite functions has been proposed in this paper. The novel pulse not only can confirm the FCC mask, but also suit for multi-access. Moreover, it has no DC components for all orders. Besides, theoretical and simulation analyses in various environments in the presence of timing jitter are made to study the anti-jitter performance of different pulse shape used in TH-PPM-UWB system. It shows that these pulses are robust to pulse jitter and provide excellent BER performance.
