Abstract :
Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) can be optimized by the identification of the most effective pacing sites. The aim of this study is to perform this identification by using electrical and anatomical informations respectively from Electro-Anatomical Mapping (EAM) data and Multislice Computerized Tomography (MSCT) imaging. In order to represent these informations in a unified framework, a two steps method is proposed: (1) a surface rigid registration method applied to the Left Ventricle (LV); (2) the fusion of 3D anatomical and electrical maps. In the first stage, two LV-surfaces are generated, one from EAM data and the other by automatically extracting the LV from segmented MSCT images. A semi-automatic method is proposed for the registration step. In the second stage, the activation time delays corresponding to 3D anatomical points on the MSCT-surface are estimated from the EAM data. A graphical user interface is finally used to display time activation delays on the LV-surface.
