Abstract :
In this paper, we introduce new analog devices that emulate natural chemical systems, called the reaction-diffusion (RD) system. The RD system gives us a lot of clues and insights into developing new architectures based on a new paradigm in computing. We exhibit hardware RD devices and their typical operation, including the production of travelling and spiral waves in two-dimensional RD devices.
