Abstract
This paper proposed a UWB bandpass filter composed of asymmetric E-shaped electrodes. By tuning the length of the electrodes´ fingers, the locations of the transmission zeros at the higher out-of-passband were synthesized separately and widely-suppressed out-of-passband response was realized. Compared with the symmetric model shown in Fig. 1 (a), the dimensions of the new model was 5.1 mm by 5.1 m by 0.8 mm, and the great advantage ldquosuper-compactnessrdquo of the original filter was still maintained in the proposed filter.
