Abstract :
To meet the need of main drive motor and the low speed high torque requirement of load, a synchronous motor and gear reducer were used .However, they have many serious drawbacks, such as high cost, low transmission efficiency ects. In this paper, a novel structure of motor which the number of slots per pole per phase q is less than 1 was proposed. It can solve the problems in direct drive system and analyze the cogging torque in multipole line-start PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor). Simulation and prototype test results show that this novel structure is reasonable. Its potential to improve the emf waveform, increase winding utilization and protect environment is of great significance.
