Abstract
The authors present a recursive algorithm that allows tracking of a target that splits into two targets in a cluttered environment using measurements obtained from a sensor with limited resolution. The approach consists of the interacting multiple model algorithm combined with a coupled version of the joint probabilistic data association filter. Simulation results show the effectiveness of this approach
