This paper sets out to explore the notion of trust with respect to technological co-operation and strategic alliances. It highlights the importance of trust in any collaborative arrangement. Moreover it shows that within the management literature, insufficient emphasis has been placed on its significance. Indeed, its role has not been systematically explored with respect to collaborations in general and technology collaborations in particular
