Abstract :
A single fed circularly polarized microstrip antenna with C-slot is proposed. The patch radiator with a C-shaped slot is aperture coupled fed by a microstrip line. The proposed antenna can achieve a bandwidth of 3.1% for axial-ratio (AR) less than 3dB, return loss less than -15 dB and gain larger than 6 dBic. The overall size of the antenna is 0.48lambdao-0.48lambdaotimes0.092lambdao at 2.4 GHz. The proposed antenna is useful for compact circularly polarized antennas and array design.
