Abstract :
A beam scan leaky wave antenna at a fixed frequency is proposed. Metal strips with a switching diode are arranged above a slot line. A combination of metal strips is excited selectively by switching the corresponding diode to make a beam. By changing the combination the beam can be scanned from 60 deg. to 120 deg., 17% of power into the antenna is lost owing to the diodes. The value is comparatively small.
