Abstract :
There are many measurement applications which require to search for a phenomenon whose occurrence is not predictable. We developed a new type of analyzing equipment for searching for such phenomena. We describe the development of an algorithm with which such measurement becomes possible as well as its hardware realization. First, the observation signal is divided into appropriate frequency bands corresponding to various applications, and the bands that significantly show the target signal are selected. In searching the instant energy of each band, it is judged whether the target signal exists by the condition of the instant energy of the band that significantly shows the target signal. The developed system is constituted by a main processing part including the filter bank and a sinewave table, a display and a PC for post-processing
