Abstract :
It was demonstrated that, by the use of the low permittivity polymer substrate with the optimized photoconductive switches, the THz pulses whose spectral width exceeds 4 THz can be generated and handled in mm-long CPSs. We believe that the CPSs can be a useful waveguide for the THz pulses in integrated chips. As an example of the application, the absorption spectrum of a powder specimen was successfully measured using the CPS for the frequency range over 3 THz.
