  • Abstract
Simulating business enterprises is the next major application approach to using simulation technology effectively. Although the term enterprise simulation or something similar is being used with ever-increasing frequency, the field lacks a clear definition and discussion of the theoretical basis for what is meant by the term. The author offers his concepts and ideas of how we encapsulate this notion and what theoretical foundations can help us come to a common understanding and eventually help articulate a clear and agreed upon definition of the concept of an enterprise simulation
