Abstract :
This paper presents two approaches for scheduling update and search tasks in a phased array antenna radar system. The first approach is based on dynamic programming from the operations research theory. The other is a temporal reasoning scheme based on temporal logic with a background in artificial intelligence. This algorithm is registered by the Swedish Patent Office. The computational schemes of the two approaches are analyzed and compared
