Abstract :
Recent research in AC/DC power factor correction converters proposes schemes to comply regulations about harmonics with simplicity. In this paper, three new AC/DC circuits and several control methods are proposed. With these converters, a high power factor and a tight regulated output voltage are achieved. Using this proposal, a large part of the output power (decided by the designer) is processed only once and therefore these power converters have advantages such as efficiency and size over the two stage structure
