Abstract :
Traditional way of manual meter reading was not only waste of human and material resources, but also very inconvenient. Especially with the emergence of a number of high residential in recent years, this traditional way of water management was obviously inefficient. Cable automatic meter reading system is very vulnerable and it needs a heavy workload of construction wiring. In this paper, based on the study of existed water meters, a kind of design schema of wireless smart water meter was introduced. In the system, the main communication way is based on Zigbee technology. This kind of design schema is appropriate for the modern water management and the efficiency can be improved.
