Abstract :
The first studies on infrared seekers started after World War II. Infrared seekers have gone a significant evolution in the following years. Infrared seekers can be divided into four groups according to their evolution and structures. First generation (spin scan) and second generation (conical scan) seekers use analog signal processing techniques to encode target position in the field of view. Third generation (pseudo imaging rosette scanning) and fourth generation (full imaging detector arrays) seekers detect and track targets by digital signal processing. In this paper, first we presents basic properties and simulation models for spin and conical scan seekers. Then, a waveform for jamming these seekers are given. We also mention the basic principles for choosing jamming parameters which we reported elsewhere.
