Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper, an integrated product development management model is first presented. The model is based on a concurrent engineering concept, and consists of four consideration spaces: goal space; function space; development space; and activity space. In the goal space, a decision can be made using a fuzzy logic decision model, especially the fuzzy if-then rule to incorporate the fuzziness and uncertainty in the decision. In the activity space, the fuzzy multiple attribute decision making (FMADM) methods can be used to consider the uncertainties at the early product design stage. In addition, the activity-based costing (ABC) can be applied to analyze the cost issues
