Abstract
In this paper, a TCP Vegas model and the control theoretical based AQM controller have been researched. The model is linearized to derive a state space representation, in which the packet marking probability and the bottleneck router queue length as the input and output of the TCP Vegas/AQM system. The AQM controller is designed based on sliding mode control, which is robust to model uncertainties and disturbances. And the simulation results demonstrate good control effect under different scenarios.
