Abstract
The results of analytical and numerical research of questions connected with instability of E-beam pump processes of active media in short-pulse-duration lasers of VUV-range on excimers of inert gases are reported. The determining influence on active medium parameters due to competition between gas ionization by fast electrons and recombination of ions and secondary electrons is shown. The instability processes of accumulation of electrical charge due to beam electron thermalization and charge flow by means of opposite currents should be taken into account in the subnanosecond range of pulse pump duration
