Abstract :
Named data networking architecture (NDN) is proposed to solve various Internet problems like network congestion, weak security, device mobility and so on. For that, NDN suggests a request driven communication, a packet forwarding mechanism referring to the identity of contents, not to the identity of a device as well as a content verification process. However, it causes network inefficiency to transmit mass request messages and a serious service delay by recursively verifying transmitted contents. In this paper, we suggest a new message structure of the request message of NDN and a procedure to handle the proposed request message. Also, this paper proposes an efficient content verification method for NDN.
