Division IV Director Jozef Modelski receives Doctor Honoris Causa

IEEE Division IV Director Jozef Modelski (Figure 1) was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Technical University of Lodz (TUL) on July 2, 2014. In Poland, this is one of the highest recognitions for a scholar, with a special ceremony (Figure 2) and a diploma written in Latin (Figure 3). The diploma stated that the honorary doctorate was awarded to Prof. Modelski as a ¿¿¿¿distinguished scientist of worldwide authority¿¿meritorious for the integration of the scientif c community in Poland as well as for the promotion of Polish achievements abroad¿¿¿¿
