  • Abstract
    The simulation results of a beam system with a supercritical current including electromagnetic feedback-VIRTODE have been discussed. It has been shown, that beam dynamics and the output radiation parameters are the most sensitive to conditions of the cathode emission current modulation. These conditions may be produced by fields of a space-charge created in the acceleration area by reflected particles, and also by electromagnetic feedback fields, which are used for the radiation parameters control. The model results are in good qualitative correspondence with data obtained in experiments with real device
