Abstract :
The novel current mode bidirectional high-frequency link DC/AC power converter proposed in the paper is based on the flyback power converter. Its operation modes, basic operational principle, instantaneous voltage control method and brief design are explained. The experimental result of 250 W/50 Hz output power with 50 kHz switching frequency shows that the proposed HFL converter has the following advantages: bidirectional power flow; fewer components; small size; light weight; simple control scheme; good dynamic response; and high efficiency
