Abstract :
A programming environment for the specification, design, coding, and testing of software for intelligent automation systems is described. The programming environment supports the following: development of programs, maintain the consistency of object, and support distributed systems. The information to be managed include to be traced items (e.g., engines, automobile roofs, etc.), programs (e.g., for robots), data (monitoring) machines, etc. The author takes a holistic approach incorporating objects for control, management, and communication. The object implementation is done using the C++ language in an IBM/AT environment
