Abstract :
We present experimental results obtained with several different cathodes tested in a high power relativistic magnetron system developed by Physics International. This tuneable magnetron is a rising-sun type and operates at frequencies in the 1.1-1.3 GHz range for a diode voltage U⩽500kV and a total microwave power of P<1 GW being extracted from the two separate arms
