Abstract
A regulator was designed and tested for the high-voltage power supply for a high-power klystron radar transmitter, with a pulse-width-modulated transistor regulating the generator field. It is a redesign of an existing regulator that did not provide the required control accuracy. The feedback about the plant has been maximized to assure the required 0.01% stability of the output voltage, mainly by increasing the speed of the regulator. This was done without using an expensive bypass tube arrangement
