Abstract
A new diode voltage monitor has been developed for the COBRA (2.5 MV, 120 kA, 40 ns) accelerator. It consists of a magnetically-insulated transmission line (MITL) connected on axis across the extraction geometry, applied-B ion diode gap. The monitor is connected at the cathode (ground) side of the diode, passes through the 3.1 m long hollow anode electrode of the COBRA four-stage linear inductive voltage adder, and then terminates
