Abstract
A system was developed to: (1) study the 24-hour acidity pattern in health; (2) investigate its behaviour in ulcer disease; and (3) assess the antisecretory effects of anti-ulcer drugs. The system is light, rugged, and reliable. It uses audio cassettes, samples data at 16 Hz, and has four channels. It allows the subject total freedom of movement and permits recording under physiological conditions.<>
