Abstract
Started in 2001, the reform of the Russian electric power industry has entailed considerable sector changes that resulted in the change of ownership structure, introduction of market relations and the launch of federal wholesale electricity market. A supreme task of the restructuring process is to preserve the reliable power supply. Considering specifics and requirements of the dynamic market environment, the system operator should carry out additional tasks and develop new daily scheduling techniques. The article offers a new mathematical model of optimal operating conditions\´ daily scheduling that can be used in the new market conditions. Additionally, the optimization effect of applying the offered model for a dispatching schedule calculation was compared to the "proportional generation allocation; algorithm used by the regional dispatcher center of the central part of Russia.
