Abstract :
The rapid progress of chirped pulse amplification (CPA) technique has made it possible to produce multi-terawatt laser pulses with sub-30 fs duration. A 100 TW Ti:sapphire laser system with sub-20 fs pulse duration was reported recently. In this presentation, we report on construction and development of an amplifier which is capable of producing 1 TW pulses with sub-20 fs duration pumped at 10 Hz by a Nd:YAG laser with only 300 mJ energy.
