Abstract :
We present the results of investigations on the thermal effects in the Ti:sapphire multipass amplifier. The thermal lensing in the amplifier was evaluated by measuring the optical path difference (OPD). The OPD denotes the optical path difference of the Ti:sapphire gain medium in the amplifier with and without thermal loading of the pumping.
