Abstract :
Adaptive arrays receivers can be effectively employed as a countermeasure against delay spread in indoor channels. The issue of mutual coupling between the elements of the antenna is addressed, showing that it does not impair the performance of the adaptation process. This is confirmed by simulation results obtained by means of an electromagnetic simulator specially designed for indoor environments. The effect of imperfect timing at the receiver is also investigated in the simulations
