Abstract :
We report production of AlN nanosize powders by using pulsed laser ablation. A Nd:YAG laser (1.06 μm, 320 mJ, 7 ns, 10 Hz) was used to ablate the Al or AlN target in N2 gas of 10~500 Torr. The characteristics of the powders were analyzed by transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron diffraction and specific surface area measurement
