Abstract
In this paper, a small CPW-fed modified Sierpinski gasket monopole antenna operating with three bands for IEEE802.11 WLAN applications has been proposed and a constructed prototype has been implemented and tested. Measurement results indicate that the designed compact antenna, only 14 mm height and 26 mm width, can provided good bandwidth characteristics. At 2.45 GHz, 5.2 GHz and 5.8 GHz, the monopole antenna can provide about 20%, 8% and 7% bandwidth. The radiation patterns of the antenna at 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz and 5.8 GHz are fit for WLAN applications.
