Abstract :
This project involves automation of electrical devices based upon the presence of an occupant. The number of persons going in and out of a room is counted using a counting mechanism. A home network is created using Zig bee transceivers. In every room a Zig bee transceiver known as end device is placed which is controlled by the Zig bee coordinator. The central computer has a GUI interface for the users to control the devices and also to monitor the status of the devices. For providing remote access to the user a GSM modem is interfaced with the central computer. For powering the End device present in the room solar energy is harvested.
