Abstract :
Code division multiple access (CDMA) technique has been a promising technique for cellular mobile, personal communication service (PCS) and wireless local loop (WLL) in recent years. To adapt the CDMA technique into a cable network, optical fiber should be introduced because the orthogonal codes are assigned to the address of each user which increases the bandwidth. Therefore, CDMA system with optical fiber, which can be operated at a wide bandwidth and can be offered low attenuation factor, has been actively studied. In this paper, we describe the design concept of CDMA system which consists of optical fiber delay line. At first, we describe the resonance problem in SC type connector to couple the fiber delay line and splitter. And we analyze the power loss of each stage to solve the output detection problem generated by power loss in a splitter. Finally, we describe the structure of address code required to increase a number of user and system performance.
