Abstract
The author presents the results of a reliability comparison and sensitivity analysis of a two-element parallel redundant system with a two-element standby redundant system for the case of Weibull element lifetimes which are dependent due to shared stress. The case of exponential-lived elements is also studied since the exponential distribution is a derivative of the Weibull distribution and has a significant role in reliability studies. The author presents the reliability functions along with the results of the study followed by an illustrative example
